My most important work

Lately I’ve been reading Austin Kleon’s inspiring books on creativity. In Show Your Work!, he encourages … well … sharing with others what you’ve been up to each day.

As I think about what I might share each day, I’m aware that some days I never even get to what I consider my “real work”—writing/communications. Especially during summer vacation when my days are even less my own than during the school year.

And then I remember that every single day I do my most important work of all: helping another human develop the skills, knowledge and experience he will take into adulthood.

So, here I share a moment from today’s work:

What’s your “work”?

What’s your extra-special, most important “work”?
