Norwegian Apple Pie

Norwegian Apple Pie
Yield: ~8 slices

1 egg, beaten
1/2-3/4 cup sugar (depending on your sweet tooth)
1/2 cup (gluten-free) flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup apples

Mix ingredients in order.

Spread in a well-greased 9-inch pie plate.

Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.

Cinnamon sauce
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/2 cup sugar
2 tablespoons butter
3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup boiling water
